Course: luxury wreath making with Sam ward
Come one, come all! As Christmas approaches join us on for a festive evening of traditional wreath making. Sam from Magic Flowers and Gifts will be helping you to create your very own door wreath adorning it with a selection of seasonal foliage and decorations. Everything that you will need to make your wreath is included in this workshop and you'll have a beautiful wreath to take home and hang on your door for all to admire through the festive period.
Sam runs her very own bespoke floral studio having studied at the illustrious McQueen's Flower School in London. She specialises in big floral installations, weddings and of course teaching others how to be just as fabulous!

Workshop: Scented Candle Making with Wax and Willow
Come and join the wonderful Ursula from Wax and Willow for a workshop making your own autumnal scented votive candles with toppers.
Choose your favourite scents from a seasonal selection of fragrances which all work together so you can create your own bespoke house fragrance when they are burned together.
Wick your vessels, blend your fragrance, and then pour 3 of your own votive candles. These candles will burn for approximately 10 hours each. While your candles are setting, enjoy some refreshments and customize your gift box. You'll decorate the box with printed belly bands and ribbons, making them perfect for gifting or keeping for yourself. Don't worry about a thing, everything you need is right here! Festive Watercolour Workshop:- Join Sussex watercolour artist, Jo Dowers for an exclusive 3-hour creative watercolour workshop in the stunning ballroom of Findon Place country house set in the heart of the beautiful South Downs.
Inspired by the Festive Season, Jo will be sharing a variety of loose watercolour techniques to create your own Christmas greetings cards and gift tags. Suitable for all abilities, enjoy exploring and experimenting with a variety of loose watercolours in a relaxed, friendly environment and idyllic setting.
About the Artist: Jo is a Sussex artist & since completing her Fine Art Painting degree in Leicester, has continued to sketch & paint, exhibiting regularly in both group & solo exhibitions including having work selected & exhibited for the National Open Art exhibition & Community Arts exhibitions at Pallant House Gallery, her work is also being showcased on an ongoing basis at the Montague Gallery in Worthing & Seasons Studios, part of East Beach Studios.
Watercolour is her passion, inspired by landscapes & nature she loves experimenting with different techniques which is reflected in her more recent botanical watercolour & acrylic pieces. Workshop: Gift wrap like an expert
Come one, come all! As Christmas approaches join us on for a festive evening of learning how to elevate your gift giving with a beautifully wrapped gift - no matter the shape!
The workshops last 2 hours and cover all the basics of good wrapping techniques. This includes the following key techniques:
Measuring paper
Wrapping a box
Tying a bow
Making a gift bag
Wrapping a bottle
Each delegate will be given a goodie bag containing double sided tape, 5m of ribbon and a hole punch.
Julia can only be described as an expert - having attended a gift wrapping workshop held in London by the amazing Jane Means, the guru of all gift wrapping, who celebrates 30 years in the business this year, she was offered to join her team and jumped at the chance to wrap for Chanel, Dior, Selfridges, Netflix, James Purdy to name a few. Often working in teams and occasionally solo, to a brief and always learning. She also has several repeat private clients to wrap gifts for their family and friends.
She's run a number of gift wrapping workshops and enjoy seeing improvement of skills, as well as receiving feedback from the delegates that the workshops is a fun and enjoyable experience.

COURSE: Willow basket making
Come and join Catherine Beaumont for a lovely day of willow weaving to make your very own egg basket!
What to Expect:
Using Somerset and locally cut willow in a variety of colours Catherine will guide you in making your very own egg basket - useful not only for eggs but collecting herbs from the garden, a little picnic tea break, blackberry picking, Easter egg hunts or even for throwing confetti from!
This is a day long course that has limited space and everything you need to make the basket will be provided. This basket is about 30cm across and 14cm high and Catherine will show you different weaving techniques from a simple weave for the side to other techniques that allows you to bring in different colours of willow and of course form the handle.
The ticket price also includes a light lunch and hot and cold refreshments.
About Catherine: Catherine Beaumont is a professional English willow basket weaver based in Midhurst who developed a passion for basket making after a weekend workshop in 1996. Using English, and locally sourced willow and coppice materials she loves to create beautiful baskets in traditional and contemporary designs.
After initially learning the basics of basketry in 1996, she was fortunate to meet Jack West, a second generation basketmaker. After the closure in 1971 of Cobbetts, the basket making factory in Guildford, Jack had set up as a self employed basketmaker; he had a keen eye for detail, and masses of knowledge. Jack was always willing to advise her on the projects and orders she received at farmers’ markets, including making panniers for donkeys, an umbrella basket for a vintage car, or a wicker arrow carrier for medieval re-enactments. He taught her traditional methods, and techniques he’d learnt over the years. His advice was invaluable. He was basketmaking daily until the age of 86, only a few weeks before he died. He was passionate about basketmaking.and Catherine feels privileged to have been able to work and learn from him.
