The Ballroom

The very grandest room in the house and designed to embrace all the joy a celebration can bring!

This high ceilinged, south facing Ballroom opens on to the terrace with views over The Great Lawn and beyond that to South Park and Cissbury Ring. Built as an addition to the house in 1780 by The Prince Regent’s good friend and owner of Findon Place, William Green, the Ballroom originally held dances and musical recitals for the court of the Prince Regent - visiting from his home - The Pavilion in Brighton. In the past the room has been a library and office, a music room complete with pipe organ and a billiards room but today it is returned to its original and rather marvellous use.
