The Workshop
Join creative powerhouse Maisie Minett, from The Modern Calligraphy Co. and discover how to create beautiful lettering from whimsical alphabets, in this relaxed and inspiring workshop. Learn how to use a pointed nib with metallic paints and focus solely on the ebb and flow of your pen as you create floral decorations to bring charm to your designs.
Modern calligraphy is about lettering that is dynamic and energetic, so you can relax and have fun in these beautiful surroundings. Friendly and informative, you will be guided step by step, to build up your skills quickly and easily.

The day will draw to a close as you make your own Autumnal artwork, designed especially for this event by Master Calligrapher Kirsten Burke from a quote by Shelley, whose ancestor, Edward Shelley owned Findon in the 16th century.

All the materials you need will be provided and refreshments will be available throughout the day, including a ​delicious seasonal lunch ​served in our ​Hall.
