What to Expect:
Come and join Eloise Kent from The Beautiful Day for a morning of exploring Eco Resin and making two beautiful pieces to take home with you.
About Eco-Resin
Eco-resin an eco-friendly alternative to epoxy resin. A beautiful versatile material, made up of a powder and liquid mix (or some kits use tap water). It’s an earthy white mixture, and has a beautiful tactile texture when set.
The Workshop
The workshop begins at 10am, please arrive before, to allow us to start at 10am. There will be a break with refreshments. During the workshop we will work on two techniques at the same time. Setting in the moulds takes time, we will work to a rough time schedule, step by step to achieve the finished results.
During the workshop, you’ll learn about supplies, how to mix and add pigment to your eco-resin, how to set, unmould and finish your pieces.
You’ll learn 2 different techniques, terrazzo and marble, and take your beautiful pieces home with you.
We’ll be using Jesmonite, a well-known brand of eco-resin. Jesmonite is classed as porous, therefore needs a top coat to achieve a water-resistant/waterproof state, which you will be shown at the end. You’ll also go home with a tips and tricks guide to continue your eco-resin journey.
